KidZone

Life at Greenbelt is about Family Life!

At Greenbelt we encourage families to worship together. We believe that children benefit from being a part of the worship experience with their parents and from regularly witnessing key rituals such as baptism and communion. However, we also believe that children develop their faith in Christ through age appropriate biblical teaching which is why we have created KidZone! Greenbelt is pleased to offer a safe and caring environment where your children can learn about God in a way that’s understandable and fun!

Children from age 3 to Grade Six start in the service with their families, then are dismissed for the KidZone program. This program lasts roughly an hour, and contains games, songs, teaching time, and special events that all help communicate truths about God’s love and His plan for our lives.

Our upstairs KidZone facility is divided into two groups:

  • Preschool: ages 3 to 5
  • Elementary: students in grades 1 through 6

Also, a few times per year, our elementary students are invited to participate in a special “Family Service” where kids can play a more active role in areas such as worship and ushering, and hear a more interactive sermon.

KidZone nursery services for children two and under are available starting at 10:15 on Sundays, until the end of the service.

If you’re visiting, it’s best to plan for a few extra minutes to fill in some brief paperwork. This helps us ensure we’re aware of any allergies or other medical conditions that your child may have. You’ll also learn about our secure “check out” process, that makes sure children are connected with the proper parent/guardian after the service. All of our KidZone volunteers are screened and have been trained under Greenbelt’s Child Protection Policy.

Parents who are visiting Greenbelt for the first time with their children are welcome to accompany their child into KidZone so they know where the room is, and to make sure that their children are comfortable.
